Definition of Polytechnic
Humber's definition of a polytechnic is "a multi-disciplinary institution of higher education which emphasizes connections with working life and economic development. It offers an applied approach to technical and professional education. In addition, it carries out research and development that supports working life and economic development and is geared to the industrial structure of the region."
