Founded in 2001, VeriSilicon Holdings Co., Ltd. ("VeriSilicon"), a leading ASIC design foundry. VeriSilicon's services range from SoC design and verification platform, IP, front-end and back-end design services, software design service and turn-key service including manufacturing, packaging, testing, and delivery. VeriSilicon has operation centers in Shanghai, China, Silicon Valley, US, Taipei, Taiwan, and Tokyo, Japan to service worldwide customers. VeriSilicon currently has 140 engineers. Over the past four years, VeriSilicon has designed many complex, multi-million gate System-on-a-Chip (SoC) with "first silicon success", including a 3G TD-SCDMA base band chip, a 32-bit CPU chip, a 32-bit DSP chip, 32-bit MCU, and a networking chip. Some of them have been in volume production. Now VeriSilicon engineering team tapes out, on average, one chip per week and we are taping out seven chips in parallel currently. Most of the designs targeted at 0.18 um and below process technologies. VeriSilicon's SoC design platform (SOC) including system level architecture design and verification, hardware driver and application software development, experimental system development and debugging, extends VeriSilicon's front-end design services capabilities and enhances VeriSilicon's value proposition to system customers. Unlike other design service companies that mainly focus on backend design, VeriSilicon provides SoC design service from design specification, IP development, RTL to GDSII. Focused on digital consumer electronics market, we have developed SOC Platforms including LCD Controller and Driver Platform for STN, TFT, and OLED, MCU Platform for 8 bit MCU and 32 bit MCU, ARM SoC Design Platform including ARM7TDMI platform, ARM926EJ platform, AMBA AHB and APB bus, and Multimedia Platform for audio, image, and video applications. Base on those SOC platforms, we have provided IP development and design services for ASICs including a mono and color display controller and driver chip in the LCD and OLED, a camera image processor chip, digital voice recorder chip with USB 2.0, and audio flash disk recorder chip with USB 2.0. Our team developed software and hardware co-development environment and chip verification and debug environment with the reference design printed circuit boards and embedded software. We are the first and only ARM certified design center (ATAP) and the first and only LSI certified ZSP design center in mainland China. In 2005, VeriSilicon has been ranked No.3 in Deloitte Technology Fast 50 China, and getting No.6 in Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific. VeriSilicon also named one of the Red Herring 100 Private Companies of Asia and selected as one of the EE Times 60 Emerging Startups.
