Since our inception, Northeast has used Bear Stearns Securities Corp. (BSSC) for global clearing services. BSSC provides our brokers and their clients with state-of-the-art technology, secure custody of their assets, timely research and product availability. In 2001 Northeast restructured its management team with Bob Bonelli joining in July as our President, Bill Behrens joining in October as Vice Chairman, and together with Steve Perrone, combined their extensive Wall Street experience. Our firm, which was effectively focusing on servicing our global network of independent brokers from a single office in Mitchel Field , New York , embarked on a plan of expansion to become a full-service broker/dealer servicing both retail and institutional clients through a unique combination of employee and independent brokers and other financial professionals. Today, Northeast operates several key offices with our 100 Wall Street office a proud example of our successful expansion. Our Wall Street location houses many of our own relationship oriented brokers who specialize in servicing high net worth clients. This office also includes our institutional services operation with full institutional trading capabilities, Benchmark Capital Advisors - the firm's Securities and Exchange Commission ( SEC ) registered asset management subsidiary, our investment banking professionals and the offices of our President and our Vice Chairman.
