Many people ask us why we started BlueCat Networks and we tell them because we knew that we could make the best product. We started BlueCat Networks in 2001 after surveying the market and realized that it was populated by over-priced, complex and tedious solutions. IT professionals are busy people; they have a lot more to do than sit around trying to find DNS errors or patch old kernels. Inventing a first-rate appliance that brings a simple, secure and affordable solution to the space only made sense. The bottom-line is that we were (and still are) very excited about this space. We believe that this is apparent by the number of Enterprise customers we have.
