ASA Publication, Inc. is a wholly owned, for profit subsidiary of the American Simmental Association (ASA), a non-profit beef breed association. ASA Publication, Inc. was formed in 1986 for the expressed purpose of providing communication, education and information to ASA members, their customers and other interested parties. the Register is the flagship publication, a four-color, high-quality magazine which is printed 11 times annually and is sent to all members plus paid subscribers. the Register focuses on providing information of primary benefit to members of the Association. SimTalk is published three times annually (January, March and September) and is directed at members' commercial customers. Editorial content focuses on herd management issues. SimTalk is mailed free of charge to all ASA members as well as commercial cattlemen, large-animal veterinarians and other interested persons. A special issue (Membership Directory) is published in June.
