Based in Eagan, Minnesota Northwest Airlines was founded in the year 1926 by Col. Lewis Brittin. It is currently the fourth largest airline in the world in terms of kilometers flown. The airline was once again first to use remote control visual inspection system that scans aircraft engines and transmits the data to technical staff.
