American Licorice Company manufactures extruded candy products, including Red Vines, Snaps, Sour Punch, Super Ropes and Twisty Punch. American Licorice became one of the first candy companies to expand into the sour candy market. In 2001, its Sour Punch brand co-promoted with 'Shrek'-the Oscar-winning animated smash film from Dreamworks. In 2004, Sour Punch co-promoted with the “Justice League” from DC Comics. The company was founded in 1914 and is headquartered in Bend, Ore.
