  • The District is managed by the CEO/Director of Education and four Assistant Directors: Programs; Human Resources; Finance and Administration; Rural Education and Corporate Services.

     

  • The District central office is located in St. John's. There are three regional offices: Spaniard's Bay, Burin and Clarenville.

     

  • Each regional office is administered by a team of professionals under the leadership of a Senior Education Officer.

     

  • The Eastern School District manages 122 schools which includes the Janeway Hospital School.

     

  • In the Eastern School District, there are approximately 44,000 students, and 3800 teaching and support staff.

     

  • The Eastern School District maintains approximately 5.2 million square feet of floor space annually.
