Where is Laurier Located?

Laurier is located in the city of Waterloo, Ontario (Canada). Only one hour away from Toronto. Waterloo has a population of 110,800. Our campus is located in the center of town providing easy access to shopping, dining, cinemas and theatres, clubs, parks, the public library and the Canadian Clay and Glass Museum.

Laurier offers a high quality undergraduate education in the Liberal Arts, Science, Business and Music. We pride ourselves on the strength of our graduates, which we feel reflect the quality of our university and its programs. Laurier grads get jobs, with 95% of our recent graduates securing employment within six months after graduating, Laurier's employment rates are among the highest in the province.

Laurier is in top spot among Ontario's universities in the Primarily Undergraduate category of the Maclean's Annual Rankings of Universities, and is second overall in the country in the reputational ranking.

"We're absolutely elated with the university's performance this year," President Bob Rosehart said. "We're extremely strong on the national scene and we're the top Ontario university in our category."

Laurier finished fifth overall in the Primarily Undergraduate category, up two spots from last year's seventh place ranking. The university is Ontario's top performer in key student-related categories such as Average Entering Grade and Proportion of Students with (entering averages of ) 75% or higher. Laurier also improved in Student Services as a Percentage of Budget, and retained its second place finish overall in Scholarships and Bursaries.

The university had a fantastic showing in reputation, finishing 5th overall in the country. In the individual reputational categories, Laurier finished fourth in Highest Quality, fourth in Most Innovative, fourth in Leaders of Tomorrow, and third in Best Overall.
