BMI Systems Corporation was founded in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in 1956. Originally the business was called Southwest Typewriter Company, and even then, providing superior products, excellent service, and a desire to please our customers was the company’s foundation. Business Machines Incorporated and later BMI Systems followed as the company’s name. Office equipment of all types including calculators, telephone systems, and personal computers has all been part of our product mix at one time or another. But with the origination of a new copy process by Canon USA, and the decentralization of copying in the business workplace, copiers soon became our primary product and service. Being one of the most progressive of all office equipment manufacturers, Canon also created the first network capable copying machine as well as the first full color copy process. Fast growing companies like BMI Systems embraced these leading edge products and have become the leader in providing network connected products and services in our markets. Current products will copy, print, fax, scan, and can even be configured to email and archive hard copy documents right from the copy glass. When combined with world class document management software from Laserfiche, BMI Systems can truly integrate solutions that impact business process and deliver significant impact in the way our customers manage their documents and information.
Today the company headquarters in Oklahoma City is home to more than 100 full time employees. BMI Systems is also the Administrator of the State of Oklahoma Copier Contract with respect to Canon equipment. With dealerships in Dallas, TX, Ft. Worth, TX and Houston, TX under the ImageNet name, as well as a sales and service location in Tulsa, OK, we are positioned to handle the needs of any client large or small in this region. And as a Canon Independent Dealer, a certified Laserfiche VAR and a member of the Canon Alliance Partner Program, our group of dealerships can easily install, service, and support, integrated document solutions throughout the entire country.
