Excerpted from the website: History The business was started in 1967 by Walter Dealtrey Sr. in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and was first located and operated in a retread shop in the rear of one of Walts retail tire stores, all in a small area of 3,000 square feet. The fledgling company had two production people, one salesman, and one delivery truck. Retread production for the first month of business averaged six truck tires a day.
