LA Open Door Presbyterian Church was founded on February 28, 1993, in accordance of the special Will and Providence of God, with the vision of establishing the most biblical and ideal church.
Since then, Jesus who is the head of the Church has led and established a strong foundation. We give praise, glory, honor, and thanks to God who has given us grace to faithfully fulfill His mission for our church.
As we look back to the last 15 years, it was only by the grace of God that we were able to build a beautiful church. Currently, we have 51 pastors and staff members, 78 elders, 1,710 pastors, elders and deacons and 5,000 registered members.
In the beginning of 2000, God has given us 126,000 sq. feet of land and 58,000 sq. feet Education- Mission- Community Center on Wilshire Blvd in the heart of the Korea Town. Then we received building permit from the city of LA on 2001. On this land, God gave us vision to build His glorious church with 2000 seat main sanctuary, 700 seat fellowship hall, 500 car parking lot at basement level 1 and 2, and an indoor gym. For last 7 years, we have finished the architectural design and started the construciton. We desire that God will build us to be holy and blameless church which is filled with God's word and the Holy Spirit.
We should be a forward moving church, moving together with our children. We should be a model church who are at the heart of the world mission and sharing the Good News to our neighbors. We should be a loving church united together with humble and dedicated spirit.
