Many of you ask how I went from selling fresh-baked pretzels at a farmers' market in Pennsylvania to having more than 850 locations around the world. It all started in 1988, when my husband Jonas wanted to give back to our community. With Jonas' mission to start a counseling center, I had a purpose - to find a way to earn some money. I opened my first Auntie Anne's store at a stand in a farmers' market in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. However, I could have never accomplished all of this on my own. I believe this Company is only as good as the people in it. With my family and friends, along with great employees and store owners, Jonas and I were able to build a solid foundation based on the goals to satisfy customers, exceed their expectations, and grow when and where it made sense.
