With over 143 branch operations throughout 30 states, Bradco Supply is one of the countrys largest national distributors of roofing, siding, windows and related building materials. In 1966, when Bradco first opened its doors in Avenel, NJ, the roofing distribution business was different than it is today. Manufacturers sold most materials direct, and distributors serviced fill-in deliveries and customer pick-ups. Manufacturers typically used common carriers for shipping which often resulted in delivery problems. It was Bradco who, after hearing their customers complain about the service from the manufacturers, decided to do something about it. The idea was simple. Bradco would purchase their own fleet of tractors and trailers to pick up materials from the manufacturer and deliver them to the job site. This assured every Bradco customer a delivery that was accurate and on time. As the companys reputation for quality service spread, sales began to grow rapidly.
