RiteAid founded in 1962, is a retail pharmacy that operates in 27 States in the United States of America. Rite Aid sells Americains perscription and non-perscription drugs as well as what it calls front end products. Rite Aid's Front end products include:photo development, health and beauty aids, personal care items, beverages, convience food as well as greeting cards. Upromise is a free program offered by RiteAid for savings program towards college. After registering securely credit card and debit cards with RiteAid, they give 5% of the value of any participating upromise good, towards a college education. As a grandparrent or parrent, you have the option of signing your credit and/or debit cards and having your upromise money going to one of your children, grandchilden or anyone else you select. Rite Aid in 2007 acquired Brooks and Eckerd. Brooks and Eckerd consist of over 1,800 stores and 27 Billion dollars in revenue. Should conversion of Brooks and Eckerd to Rite Aid be successful and continue producing their current revenue, Rite Aid revenue would increase by close to 60% to 44 Billion USD.
