Every Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. you can buy locally grown, farm fresh produce at the Farmer's Market located at the Public Health Services Department on the north lawn of the Juvenile Justice Center Building, 1800 Mt. Vernon Ave. Vendors accept cash, checks, WIC Senior Farmers Market Vouchers, DEBIT CARD and CalFresh card (Electronic Benefits Transfer). Or visit markets in Delano at Jefferson and 12th Streets each Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m.; in Bakersfield's Central Park at 21st and R Streets each Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m.; or starting June 28 in Oildale at North Chester Avenue and Norris Road each Tuesday from 3 - 6 p.m.
