Party Rental Ltd., originally Jersey Party Rental, started out as an offshoot business for Oprandys Liquor Store in Englewood, NJ. Oprandys rented tables, chairs, and glasses as a service to their customers who were picking up kegs and liquor for their home parties. In April of 1972, The Halperins acquired the business that operated out of a 6-car garage behind the liquor store. With only 1 month of experience, Sunny and Michael Halperin quickly realized that May and June were the busiest months of the year! The original inventory consisted of 100 wooden camp chairs, 1 set of china, 50 tables, and other odds and ends. In just over a year they outgrew the 6-car garage and moved to a 10,000 sq.ft. location on 40 West Street in Englewood, NJ.And the rest is history
