In July 2004, the company was able to acquire the Orkand Corporation and had integrated it with the Harris Technical Services. In the same year, at the month of November, the Encoda Systems was acquired. Later the next year, Harris Corp. had acquired yet another company called the Leitch Technology Corporation. The latter two acquired companies were later integrated into the Harris Broadcast Communications Division. This year, 2007, Harris was able to merge with Stratex Networks using its Microwave Communications Division, forming the Harris Stratex, Inc., which has now become the worlds no.1 independent manufacturer and supplier of turnkey wireless network solutions, having clients from more than 135 countries.
