Woodward Communications, Inc. (WCI) is a multimedia communications company with nearly 600 employee owners at 15 locations - servicing communities in Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois, and customers throughout the USA and a number of foreign countries. With its corporate headquarters in Dubuque, Iowa, WCI is owned by the employee owners, through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, and the Woodward family . The Dubuque Visitor, founded in 1836, evolved into the Telegraph Herald in 1901 and remains WCI's flagship publication. From its daily newspaper beginnings, the company has grown to include six operating divisions. The Telegraph Herald is a "general interest" newspaper published in Dubuque, Iowa 365 days a year. Reaching 28,421 households (34,006 on Sundays), the TH specializes in local news coverage, but offers a comprehensive package of state, regional, national and international news as well.
