Timmins Gold Corp is strategically positioned for continuous growth as a gold production and development company. Timmins Gold has recently completed a drill program of over 205,000 meters in and around the San Francisco and La Chicharra pits. The initial 95,000 meters of drilling resulted in a 104% increase in reserves to a total of 1.33 million ounces of proven and probable reserves. A new resource and reserve estimate which will incorporate an additional 110,000 meters of drilling is expected in the first quarter of 2012.
On the exploration front, Timmins Gold has an extensive portfolio of over 250,000 hectares of claims in Northern Sonora and over 50,000 hectares of claims in Zacatecas located contiguous to Goldcorp's 13,000,000 gold ounce Penasquito Mine and near Camino Rojo deposit in Zacatecas.
