Coldwell Banker - Colorado Homes

coloradohomes.com

In 1906, a 23 year-old real estate agent named Colbert Coldwell felt the need to establish honest, knowledgeable and professional real estate services after the devastating earthquake and fire that leveled San Francisco. Coldwell disapproved of the common practice of that day where real estate agents acquired properties for themselves, often from uninformed sellers at ridiculously low prices, and then resold them for huge profits. In 1913, sales associate Benjamin Arthur Banker joined the firm and became a partner the following year. The team of Coldwell and Banker were an integral part of the company well into the 1960s and had the pleasure of watching a one-office, California real estate firm grow into a national entity. By 1980, Coldwell Banker had also acquired a national referral service and Previews, Inc., an international luxury real estate marketing organization. By 1990, Coldwell Banker had locations in all fifty states and had begun international expansion with offices in Canada and Puerto Rico. The Coldwell Banker system includes more than 3,100 offices and 79,000 sales associates throughout North America. Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation also has international connections in 32 countries including Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guyana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay Bermuda, Canada, the Caribbean, Central America, China, Israel, Mexico, the Philippines, Singapore, Eastern and Western Europe.
