Delta Dental of California doesn't just help keep the mouths of movie stars clean. A not-for-profit organization, the company is a member of the Delta Dental Plans Association and has affiliates nationwide. Delta Dental of California provides dental coverage through HMOs, preferred provider plans (PPOs), and such government programs as the TRICARE Retiree Dental Program and California's Healthy Families Program. It also offers vision coverage through its DeltaVision program. The company serves about 16 million enrollees in California; its programs cover more than one-third of California residents.
Delta Dental of California has formed a holding company organization with other Delta Dental members, including Delta Dental of Pennsylvania and Delta Dental Insurance Company; together the affiliated companies serve about 23 million members in some 15 states across the US.
