Over the years, the Santa Clarita Valley has seen tremendous growth in both residential and commercial interests. Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital must expand to meet the growing community need. In November 2005 Henry Mayo submitted a draft proposal for a 25-year master plan to the Planning Commission for the City of Santa Clarita. The Master Plan is designed to include 55 additional hospital beds over the next ten years and build-out of 400-450 acute care beds in total by 2030. Additional medical office buildings and supporting parking structures are included in the plan to support the hospital's ability to recruit and retain physician specialists for inpatient and outpatient services.
