Its creation by four Ball Memorial Hospital pathologists was in response to the uncertain future of medical laboratories following the inception of Medicare and was fueled by a strong desire to retain independence as a pathology group. more... Operations: Our Muncie laboratory is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, to perform routine and specialty tests for clients. Technical sections are directed by pathologists who are on site daily. A great majority of Pathologists Associated's technologists and technicians are certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and average 10.6 years of laboratory experience. Quality Assurance: Pathologists Associated has a well defined Quality Assurance (QA) program with specific indicators within each section to monitor service and accuracy, and with special studies instituted to address specific issues.
