Patrick Industries was founded early in 1959 by Chairman Emeritus, Mervin D. Lung. Initially, the company was a supplier of paneling to the Elkhart, Indiana area's growing Manufactured Housing industry. Today, we are a $300 million company with locations in 13 states and over 31 manufacturing and distribution centers. 1968 Mervin Lung names company Patrick Industries and takes it public. Opens up facilities in Kansas, Pennsylvania, Texas, North Carolina, and Florida. Purchases Midwest Laminated Products and Mobilcraft. In the late 1980's, Mr. Lung changed the direction of the company by moving Patrick from an exclusive supplier for the Manufactured Housing and Recreational Vehicle industry into additional industries, including furniture and cabinet manufacturers.
