Contract Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Post Falls, ID

Responsibilities:

• Analyze business logic and algorithms for collecting, correcting, and building business and company contact data
• Create test plans / test cases to verify the correctness of the above logic and/or algorithm
• Work closely with Product Marketing and Engineering to understand new product requirements, feature requests, or enhancements and be able to design test cases that qualify the readiness of these requirements, features, etc
• Develop test plans and execute test plans and test cases for all Jigsaw's Products
• Communicate the status of QA through the entire life-cycle of product development
• Track new requirements through product development
• Test execution
• Test Reporting
• Defect Reporting – using a defect tracking system and following up with developers on progress and verification of resolved defects
• Communicate across both product development and product marketing to ensure the feature(s) are being designed/developed to specification
• Willingness to review process and suggest ways for improving process as it pertains to product development
• Black-box functional testing of the Jigsaw application using the leading web browsers such as IE and Firefox

Experience and Skills Needed:

• At least 2 years of experience as an SQA Engineer or equivalent experience in technical role (e.g., Technical Support, DBA, etc.)
• Demonstrated strong analytical, and problem solving skills
• Exposure to and knowledge of white-box testing methodology
• Working knowledge of SQL
• Must understand QA processes and methodologies in a software development environment
• Experience using and knowledge of web technologies (e.g., web browsers, HTTP servers)
• Self-starter and can work with little supervision
• Highly motivated to contribute and gain experience with a leading Web 2.0 startup
• Independent, self-motivated team player. Meticulous and methodical in creating solutions to meet desired goals
• Experience at fast-paced Internet companies a big plus
• Excellent written and verbal communicator
• US work authorization required
