Data Product Manager

The Role

Jigsaw is looking for a Product Manager responsible for taking our advanced data technology products to the next level. Jigsaw is a community-built business directory — a platform enabling wiki-like collaboration on the world's most valuable business data.

As Jigsaw's Product Manager for Data Products:

  • You will be responsible for Jigsaw's advanced data acquisition and data cleaning technology products.
  • You will work closely with the web site Product Managers to enhance Jigsaw's community contribution model to achieve our database growth and data quality objectives.
  • You will work with our Engineering team to see your project built according to your vision.
  • You will report directly to Jigsaw's Director of Data Products and Operations.
  • You will be based at Jigsaw's headquarters in San Mateo, CA.

Ideal Qualities, Skills, Experience and Education:

  • This is a role for a "Data Junkie" — someone with an affinity for the nuances of data mdash; its strengths and weaknesses mdash; and an instinct to make it beautiful.
  • 2+ years of technical product management experience.
  • Strong analytical ability and experience with statistical models and algorithms.
  • Extensive experience writing detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and communicating them effectively and efficiently to other stakeholders in the company.
  • Highly metrics driven mdash; define clear quantitative objectives and persistently measure product performance against those objectives.
  • Strong organization and project management skills required to juggle multiple projects at a time.
  • A bias for speed tempered by an insistence on process.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field required; Masters degree a plus.
