Tulsa-based Society of Exploration Geophysicists opens China office

The Society of Exploration Geophysicists has opened its first international office in Beijing.

Tulsa-based SEG has more than 30,000 members in 100 countries. Fred Aminzadeh, SEG president, three former SEG presidents, and SEG Executive Director Mary Fleming attended a ceremony in Beijing to open the office along with more than 250 representatives from the Chinese geoscience community, major oil companies and geophysical contracting and service companies.

The SEG plans to open other international offices.
