US boost for AEA Technology

CONSULTANTS The climate change consultant AEA Technology said President Obama's $787bn (476bn) spending programme to tackle recession had boosted its US business. The firm said its US arm, PPC, had an order pipeline of $2bn and was in a "strong position" to benefit. But AEA, which works with governments to define policy and helps businesses meet regulations, said UK prospects were gloomier. Its underlying pre-tax profits rose 13 per cent to 10.6m in the year to 31 March, on revenues up 16 per cent at 93.7m.
