Bates College hosts DARE graduation

LISBON - Bates College hosted the 2008-09 DARE graduation for Lisbon Community School students recently. The college provided the graduates and their guests with a complimentary lunch and facility for the annual ceremony. Approximately 50 guest attended the ceremony for 80 graduates.

DARE is a 10-week program supported by the Lisbon Police Department that teaches students to resist pressures that may encourage them to try drugs or use violence.
