By Donna Vickroy Staff Writer Joliet Junior College has its own Olympian. Chef Tim Bucci, a resident of Oak Forest, recently scored gold in the World Culinary Olympics in Erfurt, Germany. "It's intimidating to compete against some of the best chefs in the world," Bucci said. "But it was a great experience." Bucci competed against 1,600 chefs from 54 countries during the four-day event in October. His winning dish was a wild sockeye salmon and sturgeon buffet platter for eight.
