American car makers make bad cars that can't compete?
Don't believe it, says the guy who runs the maintenance garage for the village of Northbrook's predominantly American-made fleet of vehicles.
"Over the last 20 years, American cars have been getting better and better," Kent Figge told Northbrook trustees last week. "We're getting fewer engine overhauls, fewer valve jobs, fewer transmission replacements."
