An insured can't recover for the death of her mother in a car accident, because the mother wasn't "an insured" under the terms of her auto policy, the Nevada Supreme Court has ruled.
The insured's mother died after suffering severe injuries in a car accident with an underinsured driver.
The insured settled with the other driver for his policy limits, and then made a claim for underinsured benefits with her insurer, Allstate.
