An art auction which stemmed from a visit to the Tate Gallery in St Ives is being held in Exeter.

The Chestnut Appeal for Prostate Cancer art sale is being held at and run by Bearnes, Hampton & Littlewood of Exeter tomorrow.

Organiser David Squires said: "It all started with an idea I had on holiday in Cornwall and a visit to the Tate in St Ives.

"It was really busy, despite the sunshine outside, and really showed the popularity of contemporary art so I thought how about organising an art auction.
