Monmouth University issued the following news release:

The Visiting Writers Series at Monmouth University is pleased to present United States Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 4:30 p.m. in Pollak Theatre. This event is co-sponsored by The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County and is free and open to the public.

Pinsky, born in Long Branch in 1940, will return to Monmouth University after 12 years. In 1997, he received an honorary degree and was the University's commencement speaker.
